Thoroughly exhausted yesterday.

After the whole debate adrenaline got drained I zoned out for the rest of the day and slept through tea at Crystal Jade prompting a waitress to say that the education system is too hard on us.

Then she gave me free dim sum to take home.

I read Sumiko Tan's column about the environment today

Most Singaporeans are definitely Eco poseurs.

No one brings an envirometally friendly bag to NTUC and then promptly fills it with plastic bags at the check out counter. That has defeated the entire purpose on the Save the Enviroment thing.

Punctuation is Key.

Reading books written in prose poetry is depressing.
On Monday I wanted to blog.
But I didn't think you wanted an update on my life so I chose geography over the Internet.

I didn't think much on Tuesday.

Wednesday came along and then kinda skittered away.

Now,another day has dragged on and I'm thinking "Damn, I don't have anything to blog about. Will people be angry that they don't have anything to read? Maybe throw those veggies that were given to us at me."

Then i remember:
We are not in medieval times and people have more class than to throw free vegetables.

Organic maybe.

Besides,people will understand.

People are very understanding.

I woke today to find Deathly Hallows lying next to me.

It stunned me. Here it was, all pretty and black with its embossed gold words. Like all the copies before whose covers hasn't been ripped off by my sister yet.

It followed all the old cliches, revolved around an all familiar theme. Yet,no one can deny that Harry has left its significant mark on the literary world. It motivated children to read, gave the Young Adults section a new sort of respect.

Words and ideas mean so much.

I have actually been thinking about how to say goodbye to the series for over a year now. How do you say that to a series that you have been reading since Enid Blyton's stories got repetitive?

Theories have been ricocheting off everywhere before the release of Deathly Hollows. Strangely enough, most of what everyone predicted came true in the way that you know that the pool water is ice cold but still surprised when you actually plunge into it.

The last book of the series didn't move me to tears, it didn't make me laugh.I think i may never ever read a Harry Potter book cover to cover for the millionth time ever again. It won't be the same, knowing the ending and everything but in all the time done waiting for the actual final book, compelled me to really venture beyond Harry.

Quite honestly,if we lived in a fair world, there would be books that should be welcomed with the same fanfare as a new book by Jo.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
There will be minors spoilers in this segment of my post.

Loads of people get killed in the book. Not only two. It would be a tussle of heartstrings as readers will be the judge of which characters they considered the closest to them, thereby determining the importance of the loss.

It was scary to remember how vulnerable Voldermort was. How really, he could be a grandfather.

The ending part was the best but i don't hold too much affection for the epilogue because,
Albus Severus anyone? Wtf. Rowling definitely drunk too much champagne when she came up with that name.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
End of Spoiler

Harry Potter has woven a tapestry of voices not only within it but in the Muggle world as well. It has built communities, forged friendships, left a solid imprint even to those who might never read it.

Harry was part of the big picture. The big picture that didn't only belong to him but to everyone who has felt what a fantastic story can do. For that a huge credit must be given to the author who has given us the boy wizard.

Thank you JK Rowling.

Larvae take up residence on man's head
CARBONDALE, Colo. (AP) - Doctors thought the strange, bleeding bumps on Aaron Dallas' head might be from gnat bites or shingles. Then the bumps started moving.

A doctor found five active bot fly larvae living beneath the skin atop Dallas' head.

"I'd put my hand back there and feel them moving. I thought it was blood coursing through my head," Dallas told the (Glenwood Springs) Post Independent.

"I could hear them. I actually thought I was going crazy."

Dallas said he likely received the larval infestation while on a trip to Belize this summer. Bot fly infections are not uncommon in parts of Central and South America.

Adult bot flies are hairy and look like bees, without bristles. The larvae, which are about one-third the size of a penny, were living in a pit 2- to 3- millimeters wide. They were removed Thursday.

"It was weird and traumatic," said Dallas, of Carbondale. "I would get this pain that would drop me to my knees."

After a specialist told him he might have shingles, Dallas tried different creams and salves. But the pain only got worse.

"When I saw him again, it was pretty obvious something else was going on," said Dr. Kimball Spence, who could see the spots moving on Dallas' head. "There's an open pit. You see a little activity, not necessarily the larvae, but a fluctuation of the fluid in the pit."

Dallas' wife, Midge Dallas, teased him about it.

"I told him, 'I will love you through your maggots,'" she told the newspaper.

But Dallas saw little to laugh about.

"It's much funnier to everyone else," he said. "It makes my stomach turn over. It was cruel."

There is a video that shows the pulling out of larvae but i think i will leave that out.

"Bot fly infections are not uncommon in parts of Central and South America." Note to self, do not go there.

I gave the same number of stars to something that won an academy award and the chances of Harry Potter ever earning an Oscar for best picture would be…

Well, it would be small.

Every time a new Potter film comes out the cast will say it’s darker, (it did at one point literally meant that it got darker), but I am somewhat glad that they got David Yates to direct this film.

It has that repressed emotions that are churning within the movie every time Dan gets the impulse to break something or shout at something. You can almost hear them swear but they don’t because of the PG rating but you’ll add it in your head anyway. In fact, it would not have been surprising if Ron looked at Harry in the middle of the movie and asked if he needed some pot.

I bet David Yates did that on purpose.

They got all the pairings right. Finally. Although I still don’t see how Ginny and Harry happened but it was better then seeing Hermione going for Harry and stealing all of Ron’s lines.

The acting was less excruciating this time round .Apart from the fact that Katie Leung isn’t pretty but spends her role trying to look pretty failing to do so and then remember that she was suppose to act.
.
The rest of the cast did well, Emma has forgone the shrill that she used in the fourth film which is always a plus and Rupert has widened his vocabulary, now he can speak in complete sentence as compared to GoF where his aim was primarily to exclaim BLOODY HELL every chance he got. Evanna: ethereal and perfect. Bonnie should have gotten more screen time. They cut the best one liner from the book ( “Give her hell from us peeves”) Imelda was brilliant. Most of the adult casts were. Sirius had tattoos printed all over his body. Now we know how he escaped from Azkaban. He’s going to sue Prison Break any day now.

The icing on the cake was that they muted Dan when he was crying for Sirius. It was a subtle and almost beautiful move. I couldn’t stand it when he cries or weeps or whines or moans or basically any form of acting that requires grief or anger.

With all the suppressed emotions going around, there isn’t much time for laughing. Tensions sometimes tear and when the trio does eventually crack a weak laugh you will laugh along with them.

This movie isn’t a crown jewel. More like an ice sculpture, it would melt eventually but it was pretty and worth looking at while it lasted.

Guy looking suspiciously at the counter mints: Are you sure this isn't polo? Because polo will kill my sperms.

At least we know some one's concerned about our population.

In other news, my modem fused so i have no Internet now.

I think i can make it.

Technical help stinks.

Credit if used just link back here.

I have acquired a Sims 2 game. Right now I'm naming them and then afterwards i will kill them off one by one while they compete for a million dollars and a way to escape a mansion with Paris Hilton singing at the top of her voice.

Or a cat yodeling, whoever's available.

Edit/
I forgot to put something here, it's my own tongue twister i thought of when i was in lit!
who judges the judge who judges wrong
okay not very twisty but it has a nice sort of ring to it.

I'm tired, furstrated and ,as a girl, nearly reduced to tears while destroying words.

But then i bet with my sister that i wouldn't cry tonight.Losing $2 will make me cry a little harder.

Mentorship
I really want to stop writing now. Nothing is coherent and for about 300 words i am rambling on about something that doesn't have a point.
I have 2 definite stories another one which has one sentence and 2 other ideas.
Oh,i also have 5 hours to finish all that if i keep all this up till 3am.
Which i don't plan to because i'm sleeping at 12pm.

So the motion of tonight is :
Do I really want this?

The rest of the week will probably be an endless parade of non-commitable nods of head and frustrated grunts.

I have just finised burning my sugar into caramel and i must say i didn't know it would turn such a nice colour. I will promise to post the video up soon

Because this post is short here are some samples of the link buttons that i was talking about:

A little repackaging can do wonders.

Mom: Look! They put the dim sum in square boxes instead of round ones! Creative. Lets eat here.

Slightly uneventful day. I've noticed a general decline in the number of people coming for the St Nicholas open house although most of the people i talked to generally seemed "impressed".

The word "good girls" was thrown around a couple of times as well.

Pfft.

Oh and the P6 students are getting smaller each year.

I don't remember being so tiny.

But then i used to wear a headband.
