Right let me get this straight.

Are we blind to mediocrity or we can't do any better then we are now. I'm not criticizing.Okay actually i AM criticizing.

Judging by the contestants on the show,i can tell that our media talent pool is reallyyyy tiny.

It no wonder i can't watch the show without being able to resist the urge to stick needles in my eyes or in my ears, whichever part of me decides that they would rather die then continue watching the show. the point is,they aren't very good singers.
The judges aren't very good judges either. There is no chemistry between them. Its like they each have their own cubicles to sit in and listen to the idols then they comment.
They are so distant from each other. And their comments! Abstarct and vague to the point where they don't even know whats spewing from their mouths.Except Ken. His the real deal.

But he... is so bored.

The reason why we watch American Idol was because of the atmosphere, the judges, the clmax, the anticipation. What we get here is monotonous. The most intersting thing we had so far was a technical glitch and Paul Twohill's cowlick (i don't care if its conditioned or whatever.COWLICK.)

Today they introduced the star's fav local food.
HELLO!

The last time i checked there was no connection between food and music. If you want to get to know the stars better don't analyze them from their freaking food choices! Its not MAKAN PLACES relived.

Which is why we are better off sticking to chinese talent shows. Its a much more realistic approah. We aren't getting anywhere with Singapore Idol, not globally or internally.

I just finished watching ths show "Anger Management"

Its not a new show but its quite a funny one

The anger management therapist said this:

There are two types of angry.Explosive and implosive.

Explosive is the woman who is yelling at the cashier for her work
ethics

Implosive is the cahsier who takes all her custormer's anger in and one day
snap and shoots everyone in the supermarket.

then Adam Sadler goes:

I'm the guy who is hiding in the cold freezer department calling 911

Ha.Anyway which type of angry do you think you are.The yelling woman the cashier or the dude in the frozer dairy section?

My parents tells me i'm the cashier, but i don't want to shoot anyone:) really...
Yell a bit maybe. Not as if firearms are sold openly in Singapore anyway.

Today,it was a bad day.And it got progressively worse from there.
And because today is wednesday. It just sets off a chain reaction.

So to cheer me up.That sentence sounded weird.
I had this notion,What if Death went on strike.

What if Death felt that it(not sure of gender) was not being appreciated. What if death felt that no one liked it and it had no friends. Which is entirely true anyway. What sane person goes around hoping to meet death with a kiss?

What if Death fell into depression? What if Death tried suicide, but couldn't because-wait for it-

It was DEATH.

Death goes on strike.

Actually,i find it rather funny.Dark humor i suppose,but funny.

Death rings round every corner to the small ant that you just squashed to the funeral at your HDB void-deck.
So if death went on strike,no one would be able to die.
That is in some way itself a blessing and a curse.

Those who are suffereing continue to suffer from their sickness which has no cure.
However those with curable stuff will get well, without death interfering.

AS quoted : " Death is only life's next greatest adventure"

Perhaps we should appreciate Death more,it is the beggining of an end
It brings grief,sorrow,time for recovery,healing.

Or maybe we need to give Death a big fat paycheck.

I got blogskin of the day:)
YEY
lol

-jumps around like a mad rabbit-

-looks at me-
-being a dork-
-feels like a dork-
-dosen't care-

Lol,anyway SOTD! yey. i never believed it would make it

It was my latest skin by the way. YEY.

I feel accomplished.
I can die happy now.

Anyway i make today BANISHING DAY and everyday after today
Because i feel we all need to banish stuff everyday.
So i will banish something
EVERY DAY.

Today,i banish LIMITATIONS
Because sometimes, limitations constrain us.There is something above the stupid box...The universe, the aliens, the Begginning of an End.

Where at every END there is a new BEGINNING

I hate the feeling of being constrained, yet i do that to myself everyday
LOL.
I love banishment.
It feels nice. THe power to elminate something. And the power is self-induced.

SOTD

Elizatbeth:There will come a moment when you will have a chance to do the right thing.
Jack:I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

The much hyped about movie of the year was....
  • a tad too long
  • too much CGI
  • Too dark
  • lifeless.
  • cliff-hanger
  • DANG.
It wasn't bad.It wasn't very good either.
We all know that Disney is a commercial, money-making mousetrap.
Which would explain their ability to cash in at every ample oppurtunity.

Dosen' matter anyway, good acting, a fantastic script holds up the movie:)
I miss the days when Disney leave something good to be.
But there always HAS to be sequels.
Jack:Why is the rum always gone

Oh right, back to Pirates of the Carribean.
Because the former cast reprise their roles in this movie its really worth watching.
I am thinking much about the plot.Because the plot sort of meanders off.
Its like.Evil minister,no wedding, escape from jail.TAKE OFF THE WIG. Curse the minister for interrupting a wedding.Oh and cannibles, and DAvy JOnes locker, filled with smelly gym socks. And then father and son reunion, kiss the bad pirate.Ties him up so that he can be eaten by the giant squid.Dead pirates from the last movie comes back.

An undead monkey.A witch,inconsistent subtitles.

DARN.

And they were just reusing music from the previous movie. The first movie will always be the best.
-sniff-

Jack: Oh Bugger

I know i never,NEVER work best when i sleep late.
And here i am teachnically talking to myself at midnight.

The only other person here to acompany me is Lenore:the Cute Little Dead Girl. And she likes blood.

Unenthical.

So i wake in this half dreaming stage to a whole full blast I'm-up-but-not-awake routine.

Actually i was just waiting for something to come around and push the wrong buttons so that i can deliver some harsh remarks:)
I am mean that way,but actually most people don't get me so its a win-win situation,i get to vent without anyone knowing i am venting.

Then because i did not have any caffeine throughout the day,(panshin didn't have any kopi sweets left) I fully snapped during my cca.

Which is not good-frowns-Its just this little bubble of resignation that kept on building,CCA is not suppose to be a waste of time,we are trying to make use of our time. Its not working.

Not working. The club has talked ofcourse about how standard needs to be improving, how a structure has to take place. I see none of it actually,we are still quite idle. And all of us know it.

And so,they come with these little repetetive tests of PA system to keep us busy.Sly,subtle but i totally caught on. We might not know how to operate the system but giving us continual test wasn't going to help.At all.

I told vanessa that it was a waste of time.Complete and utter. Then,i got mad.I don't get mad often, okay not true.I don't get mad often in public. That bubble just kept building, and i felt myself go all hot and funny.

Our teacher in charge asked me if i was all right. Although i couldn't really hear her,too far away.I could literally feel myself turning red,and i really wanted to cry.Out of anger if nothing else.

She told me to calm down,i felt like shrieking.

Then
someone asked me what was wrong, and i said the thing that first came to my mouth:
Emotional Turmoil.

Apparently i said it loud enough for people to quote me.

Fantastic.Really.

We have had enough talks. If it continues. We are really just wasting our time away when it could have been put to better use.
I like going to CCA because i always think that we would do something productive.
Apparently not.

So.
We really want to take intiative.
But can't.
Because there is nothing in the first place.

You know what

You know what.

I just came back from reading the starbloggers at STOMP, their views are interesting, the language, refreshing.

I just feel that adults shouldn’t only be the ones to blab.

I think that teens need more then the darned forum on the site to voice their views.
However, of course we are not going to get it, because it boils down to the fact that while teens are the ones who have set the trend of having blogs.

We aren’t leading it.

And it does not help the general intelligence when euu’ tipe lyeke dissh’ boh

Or whatnot, I am not fluent in ah lian.

Think back when was the last time a teen made his or her mark on the blogmosphere apart from appearing in court trails about racism remarks or illegal song hosting.
Nada.Zilch.ZIP.

There are apparently too many of us around anyway.

If you have no idea what I am talking about,go read STMOP interactive.
If you have not already spotted it on the buses on the floor, taxis.

By the way, it a really smart move by straits times by going digital.

Woohoo meet Generation I

I am currently waiting for post 666

Its difficult i know but i am now at post 518
Not a whole lot of entries to go.
But when i do get there, i will post a timeline or something.

I read in the apper today about an online guide by a Teenager about the strange behaviour of teenagers to adults
She has also dissed the 50-year old pycologist claiming that they have already forgotten youth -snickers- and they have no business writing books about teen behaviour.

You know what, i really think she has got a point.I have been prone to pick up a few help books for parents, its basically the same thing, teenage years maybe the hardest BLAH they want their freedom BLAH listen BLAH

Its correct in essence,i have yet to read the teens version of the help book but what i have grasped from the article is that parents really have to listen.

REALLY UNDERSTAND

There is a difference between listening and hearing. You hear, and you can brush it off.You listen and you gain understanding.
This means NO COLD WARS,or rebuttles or stamping your teen down because you weren't listening.LISTEN,even if all they are doing is shouting at you.
And do not forget that you were young once, maybe the memories have faded to oblivion or whatever but i guess its really essential not only to remember the time when you were perfect during your youth but also when you were imperfect.

Although sometimes, our parents do try our hardest, somehow we can always ALWAYS manage to turn the situation around.I don't know, but we do. It takens an effort on our parts as well.
BAH.

I plan to be a nutritionist.

Can we swallow if we are upside down?
Yes, you can swallow upside down because the muscles around the esophagus are strong enough to push the food up to your stomach. I do not, however, recommend you try this anytime soon.

Get this.

To better understand achalasia, you need to learn how we
normally swallow. The trick is to get the food to go down into the stomach and
not puke. Your esophagus, or foodpipe, is not just a hollow lifeless
tube. Rather, it is a made of several layers of muscle tissue that contract in a
rhythmic fashion, like waves on a beach. These so-called peristaltic waves carry
the food down to your stomach like a conveyor belt. That is why you can hang
upside down and still eat a sandwich.

And Also this.

When you swallow, the muscles behind the food contract automatically, pushing the food along the esophagus, and forcing it down into the stomach. This squeezing action is known as peristalsis. When you swallow, the small flap of tissue which you can see hanging down at the back of your throat when you look in a mirror, closes off the entrance to your windpipe. At the same time another flap closes the tube leading to your nose. So, yes, you could swallow upside down without choking.

So.Its official,we can swallow upside down only that no sane person will ever do it.
Was that the question in biology again ? I thought so:)

Is it me or is the world growing mutated babies or really talented ones:)

I will be inclined to think of the first one but that does not seem to justify the situation so i conclude we are getting more talented at each generation.
BUT we still don't know how to use em.

Anyway,my belief in ultra talented babies stem froms from this.A girl,11 from Phillipines

charice - i will always love you

I mean shes amazing. Really knows how to yodle. And i thought the music industry was dead.

I can see hope now, infringing the laws of popular pop culture and creating something new everyone will love.In 10 years time maybe but not that long a wait.Talent can most certainly wait.

They will be here reviving the music industry, cutting albums.

OUT WITH MEDIAOCRE ALBUMS

Those that sound like they are the same, the ones you can guess the tune on the first beat of the song. The ones that are diditilzed and volcalised by computers and the singers probaly sound awful live.

Those.
Although people still listen, i wouldn't mind if the music is new, refreshing,it will make up for the so-so voice but those that stick to the same old rules are just boring.

Anyway back to amazing talent, forget brainest kid, with a voice like that you can sing your way out of school.
Here is another one,a sure-fire gale this one, blows people away.

WOAH.Think, maybe instead evoltionizing to have natural power, maybe we will all develope talents in entertainment.

Ofcourse, that will be in another millenium.

But geezes with this kiddie pool of talent, who knows what other people are hiding.
