Plopped myself in the middle of Woodlands Circle today. What do you know, it was actually a circular kind of place.
Pleasantly surprised that some places are still mean their given names.
It is very disturbing to be called "teacher".
Looking after six year old is not for the faint hearted.
The craft session didn't go over too well.
Neither did the story telling session.
And when the stage was given to them for the purpose of a clever narrative with Lego toys.
It ended up in tears mostly and a plot to rid the child care teacher.
Accidentally swore which of course resulted in a " Why are you allowed to use bad words?"
Speaking of interesting questions ,I was thrown off by the boy who asked Vanessa and I what our boyfriends drove.
Apparently, mine drives a yellow convertible and Vanessa's drives a red one.
Holiday Child Care Programmes: Unabashedly in your face.A place of sociopolitical gamesmanship with a serving of hedonism, sadism and egoism.
Walked home reading a book and walked into a metal pole.
Funny why i never noticed that pole in the middle of the walkway before.
Maybe it was something to do with the Pasar Malam.

No,i'm not going to do anything until the absolute last minute. At which point I will be turned into a headless chicken.
Bookswise
Love the national library for upping the loan quota.
Finished A spot of bother by Mark Haddon which was a brilliant book in my opinion because you don't get too many groovy old man trying to cut off tumors with scissors. Or homosexual stereotypes who are actually being characteristic instead of being the comic relief guy.
"Sorry, but we don't date comic relief characters." giggle.
Oh and also finished Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer which was the opposite of brilliant. However punching a werewolf and then getting a broken arm is made of win.Uncyclopedia probably sums it up best.
Looking forward to more books.

Watched and loved Enchanted. I never thought Disney could put out something good again after the repeated airings of High School Musical 2. The beginning sequence of the movie was fantastic. Giselle(Amy Adams) had every iconic Disney Princess tilt and shake of head down pat. Even when she ended up in New York. I doubt anyone can pull off the Disney Princess better than Amy Adams, thus she totally made the movie.
Look who showed up as Prince Edward. Beam me up Scotty would probably be inappropriate here.
Waiting around for the Golden Compass to start and hopefully watching atonement on the way back from Hong Kong.
Avatarwise
Avatar the last Airbender must be about the only saving grace of mainstream cartoons credibility.
I mean look at the recent slew of cartoons: Scoobydoo (mixing old animation with vibrant colours is just bad, Yu Gi Oh (any card/monster duel. There is just no point)etc.
You also get its so bad its actually good: Totally Spies(they are just...colour coordinated), Johnny Bravo ( Its out of run but its so freaking funny) etc.
I mean look at the effort put into the elaborate backgrounds alone
And the premise of the show is really good too.
A short synopsis
The Avatarverse divided into four great nation based on their elementals : Water, Air, Earth and Fire. Each nation has its specific elemental control disciplines called bending (airbending, earthbending etc) and each of them has been based on different types of martial arts.
The world is thrown into turmoil when the Fire Nation attacks the rest of the nations to "share" their greatness. Enter the Avatar ,master of all four elements. The avatar's duty is to maintain order between the four nations but due to the fact that the avatar has been missing for a century he has been kind of shirking his duties.
Believe me the maturity, subtlety and humor contained in this show is something well worth watching.

Finished watching Heroes which was as awesome as everyone said it was. Season two was a little bit of a let down though, understandably with the writer's strike going on but more could have been done. A lot more could have been forgone.
The will to iconise this series is strong.
Otherwise

Yeah well, its microsoft! Figures.

Katara: "Water…Earth…Fire…Air. Long ago, the 4 nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all 4 elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world…"

The other day i was thinking that if i ever got sorted into Griffindor.
I would spend the rest of my days in Hogwarts wondering if Gordric really put brains into that hat.
Holidays are a ho hum affair. Although i do hope to catch up on my movie intake and sort out my school work (hah as if)
Many shows to watch. Looking forward to watching The Golden Age. The trailer was powerful and Cate Blanchett as a queen is always worth watching. Heck, give her the Oscar already.
Remixed some moments of 2007 here, pure 3 Truth class. It not (quite) a photo montage so you won't be bored stiff watching it.
Now, what shall I do next?

"Am i a true blue Singaporean? You betcha."
Backs away slowly.
See this line is part of my cover in the Great Singapore Conspiracy. Keep them ignorant and take them down from within.
Totally diabolical.

Hang upside down.
In the inverted world, where land becomes sky and all is exchanged, stars don't hide.
They dance for you.
The city skyline is wasted walking upright.

There is a doom and gloom cloud hovering.
Somewhere.
It will hang around for as long as i don't get this site up and running with swanky new skin.
But for now:
Cabbages.
