It seems that Singaporeans have a really big issue with lizards.

I've just finished browsing through some of the blogs at Sgfriends and it seems that erm, people are afraid to squash lizards?

But find a very bizarre and satisfying desire to do so.

Which I could associate with I guess. A little black lizard wriggled out from god knows where into the middle of the walkway where I was waiting to be picked up.

Which is really stupid once you think about it.

Anyway, I decided that i could play god or something since I'm so much taller. I let it stay there and minutes later someone trampled on it.

For the next five minutes, i watched with some degree of morbid fascination of the lizard doing the Macarena with its tail.

Until of course, the next gaggle of girls stomped on it.

After which, it still wriggled but it looked more like a watered down version of William Hung's "She Bangs".

I saw the topic for the Pilot Pen "How I make a difference". Well, something to that effect.
Thinking about joining, although I'm considering if its worth the effort if it has to go through the school again.

I write for me, but when i write for a competition, i would at least like to know what the judges thought about it before being rejected. In which case, I hope that my commonwealth essay doesn't get used as scrape paper to print worksheets.

Anyhow, i know how i made a difference in the lizard's life today, standing by as an completely third party observer who has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I let it die.
